You Fat Bastard!

After spending the afternoon with some friends we decided it was time for some food and drinks. We went to The Newcastle pub which is located on 17th ave and something st (I could look up the proper address but you looking it up will be half the adventure!). We sat and all ordered our drinks, I got a scotch which is my usual  go to beverage. After looking over the menu and already knowing I was going to get a burger I decided to get the "Fat Bastard" It has a lovely description in the menu and the name alone made it worth it.

All the food came out quite quickly and the burger is huge! This is one of those burgers they put the pickle on top with a stick because there is no where left between the bun to put anything else... This thing has it all, lettuce, onions, tomato, an onion ring and yes, oh yes. A fried egg! An egg on a burger always gets me a little excited at the prospect of a little yolk working its way though out the whole burger.

Now, like I said, this burger is big. I had to press the burger down just to try and take a bite! After figuring out I cannot unhinge my jaw and I just had to press the burger down a little more, I got to work. The first bite had a little bit of everything and that's really what it's all about. After about 3 bites, eating the burger became a fun game of trying to keep everything in the bun. If you can eat this burger with one hand you are either a level 9 burger eating ninja, or you have insanely large hands and I tip my hat to you. The burger is so full of delicious goodness that it literally tries to fly from the bun directly in to your mouth (giggidy)

I said before any burger that requires 2 napkins or more is good in my books, this bad boy had me trying to steal napkins from all the people around me.

I highly recommend going to The Newcastle and checking out The Fat Bastard, you won't be disappointed.
